Villa Lisa is a charming, 17th century aristocratic villa set in a peaceful, green valley in the southern hills of Lucca. Originally built in 1624 this magnificent Villa was the summer residence of a local Count, a family who has played a key role in the administration of the Republic of Lucca for centuries. Wonderful antiques, majestic frescoed rooms combine with modern conveniences to create an exclusive and elegant atmosphere.
Set in vast parkland with beautiful centuries old trees and 2 private ponds, this Villa has a beautiful private pool. Guest can also enjoy two impressive alfresco dining areas: one in front of the Villa with its majestic facade and lovely private lake; another in the Italian garden to the rear. The jasmine covered gazebo which has a table and  chairs, is the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing aperitif.
Villa Lisa  offers the very best in luxury Tuscan living with 7 luxurious guest bedrooms for up to 14 guests and has beautifully restored frescoes in the reception rooms giving it a wonderful air of elegance. Villa Lisa has immaculate Italian gardens with a fresh water brook that runs into two small lakes with weeping willow trees. Elegant cypress trees and fragrant lemon trees make a perfect backdrop to the large swimming pool. Villa Lisa is located just outside of the elegant, walled city of Lucca and within easy reach of the Tuscan coast making it a perfect location to explore Northern Tuscany and the coast. There is a local restaurant within walking distance and Lucca city centre is a short drive (7km).
For larger groups there is a luxury, 12 bedroom property adjacent, so both villas can accommodate up to 38/40 guests in 19 bedrooms on request Borgo Lucchese

This is a beautiful aristocratic villa for those wanting to experience Tuscan Luxury living. On the ground floor there is a large formal dining room and a breakfast room. There is an aristocratic living room equipped with a Hi Fi, satellite TV and DVD. There is a well equipped Tuscan style kitchen, a library, card room, billiard room. The lower floor of the villa is well stocked with a range of top class wines and has a kitchen with wood/pizza oven.

LOWER FLOOR

The lower floor features a fully equipped Tuscan kitchen with a wood burning oven perfect for preparing fragrant pizzas. This floor is the ideal place to spend time together and is stocked with board games and has table football. You can create a truly Italian evening  with Pizza and football.  On this floor there is also a laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and board.


FIRST FLOOR

The ‘Piano nobile’ of the Villa offers beautiful frescoed rooms and a spacious majestic lounge area with breathtaking views over the Italian garden, the rear garden and surrounding olive groves. There is a small kitchenette for staff, perfect to prepare appetizers or a refreshing drink to be enjoyed in the frescoed lounge area. On this floor there is a music room with a grand piano and a beautiful glimpse of the pond; a majestic bathtub with a Jacuzzi. This floor offers three luxury bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and shower. Two of them share a spacious walk-in closet.
Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower facilities and each bathroom is equipped with bathrobes and a hairdryer. Each floor of the villa has its own kitchenette.

A lovely, bright upper floor with original beamed ceilings and a beautiful view over the garden and pool. This floor has a media room and four magnificent double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with showers. Two bedrooms have twin beds, two have king size beds.

OUTDOORS

The Villa is set in large grounds that include a stream and two small lakes. There are very elegant Italian style gardens that are immaculately kept and include many large impressive trees, including weeping willows and majestic Cypress trees.. The garden forms an elegant foreground to this aristocratic villa. The private pool  (20 x 10mts) is located at a short distance from the villa and set in magnificent grounds. There is a romantic jasmine covered gazebo where you can enjoy and evening aperatif.


Villa Lisa is an ideal base from which to discover the many delights of Tuscany. The medieval walled town of Lucca is a 10 minute drive away – the small city is very easy to get around and discover for yourself or guided tours can be arranged.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa (30 minutes away). It is stunningly set in an open lawned piazza which also houses the Cathedral, Baptistery and Campo Santo Cemetery. A 40 minute drive will take you to the little port and town of Lerici overlooked by a cliff top castle from where boats leave every hour to Portovenere and the World Heritage site of the Cinque Terre, five dramatically cliff clinging villages. Renaissance Florence is just an hour away, either by train or car.
Siena is an hour and a half away with possible stops on the way to San Gimignano and Monteriggioni , as is Chianti where you can arrange a wine-tasting at one of the many vineyards. For those interested in art and sculpture there are the impressive marble quarries of Carrara as well as the sculpture town of Pietrasanta. Forte dei Marmi is a lively beach stop with some great shopping as you join the masses in the early evening stroll through the town.
