Villa Marmo Bianco is a spectacular, architect designed villa, with beautiful panoramic views set in the hills above Lucca. The property is situated at  200 mts above sea level and is surrounded by 10 hectares of private  olive groves and woodland.
A jewel of modern architecture and technology, the property is built on a slope of Carrara type marble and consists of a main villa, cottage and pool area.. Marble detailing indoors appears on each floor and is a characteristic of this unique design.  The villa has been designed with nature in mind. The outdoor shutters provide shade in summer and catch the light in winter. The interior lay out has been designed around a red, central staircase, which is a strong feature of this amazing house. Many of the one off pieces found in the villa have been custom made or specially designed to complement the modern style of the house and the villa also fetaures sculptures by one of the owners, placed both indoors and outdoors around the property. The villa has won awards as one of the most ecological and exceptional homes in Italy by the "National Geographic" TV channel. Another significant feature of the villa is its hydraulic roof. The two wings of the roof, spanning 110 sq mts, open at a 30 ° angle like the wings of a butterfly. This is the first house in the world with a hydraulic roof, allowing natural ventilation to cool the house and at night - makes you feel that you are sleeping "under the stars". A fabulous infinity pool with Jacuzzi area completes this superb property.
The villa is located within easy reach of Lucca city centre (6km) and the Renaissance city of Florence is (81km). You can explore the many beach resorts along the Tuscan coast, which are all just a short drive away, Viareggio (33km) and the VIP resort of Forte dei Marmi (38km).

Prices include:  Electricity, water, kitchen gas,  air con, heating, linen & towels (changed weekly), maid service 3.5 hrs twice a week normally Tues + Thurs 2.30pm - 6pm  for a total of 7 hrs - (doesn't include cleaning of kitchen, or disposal of rubbish), WI FI internet, concierge service, garden & pool maintenance,  final cleaning

Not included: Additional linen changes, extra maid service €20 per hr, laundry service €20 per hr, cook/chef service - on request

Local Tourist Tax: €7.50 per person over 14 years, payable in cash on arrival

Security Deposit: €2,500 payable in cash on arrival  and refunded on departure.
