Villa Marianna is a magnificent property set in a landscape of vineyards, olive groves and acacia woods just outside of Lucca. Located in beautiful countryside and set amongst the vineyards of Vicopelago, a small village just 3km south of Lucca, this prestigious area is well known for its many 15th and 16th century villas of wealthy Lucchese families, who built their country houses in this area because of its natural beauty. The villa itself dates back to the 15th century and the estate is believed to have been used as a hunting lodge at the end of the 1800’s. It was bought by a well-known family of Lucchese merchants and the villa took their family name. It now provides luxury accommodation for holidays and is perfect for special occasions.

Villa Marianna is a perfect base to enjoy Lucca with its boutique shopping, bustling piazzas,  cafes and restaurants and to explore the Tuscan coast (30 mins drive). Lucca - 3.7 km, Viareggio - 31 km, Pisa 36 kms

Villa Marianna is set in almost 8,000 sq mts of private grounds and is within a walled estate. The villa itself dates back to the 15th century and has recently been renovated and refurbished. Situated next to the entry gate on the south-west side of the property, there is a pretty farmhouse. This was built at the end of the 1700's and has also been renovated and provides extra accommodation for larger groups.

The main villa provides luxury accommodation with all modern comforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible while retaining many of its original features and character. The villa is fully air-conditioned and has six bedrooms with five en suite bathrooms.

A large main doorway accesses an entrance that leads to a hallway and the main staircase (off left). It has handpainted walls and pretty white balustrades. There is also a lift/elevator (wheelchair friendly) - off right. Straight ahead is the fabulous formal dining room, which features huge glass doors that open onto a large patio.

This floor fetaures a superb, super spacious central living room with large fireplace and several sofas. It has beautiful handpainted walls in watercolour effect shades and features Tuscan scenery. There are several windows overlooking the garden. This is a very elegant but comfortable room.

• Double aspect Master 2 bedroom suite with double bedroom (King size bed) en suite bathroom with double sinks and a spacious shower, sitting room and upstairs in a loft area there is an additional twin bedroom that can be made a double (King size).  These 2 bedrooms share the bathroom. This is perfect as a family suite.

SPA / STARPOOL
THE SPACE
The villa SPA is laid out over 200 square meters and is divided into four rooms in a refined but welcoming space. Natural wood ceilings, natural materials and soft colors create a precious refuge in the house.
Guests can enjoy a Turkish bath, sauna, cold mist shower scented with eucalyptus, an exhilarating ice fall, or the relaxation area with salt wall.
The Salt wall is made up of rock salt bricks that allow the release of trace elements into the air at a temperature of about 30 degrees and humidity of about 40%, encouraging relaxation and physical wellbeing.

SPA Gourmand
In the SPA guests have the opportunity to choose different paths to physical wellbeing - with a unique sensory journey where even taste sensations are not forgotten. Each path is characterized by a change in ambient using steam, soft breeze, sauna, cold reactions and pure relax. The leisurely journey is accompanied not only by changes in sound, light, color and fragrance but also with a range of infusions, herbal teas and fresh fruit
It’s possible to choose from these four pathways:

RELAX (BLUE) to melt away the stress with an infusion of lemon balm and fresh fruit such as blueberries or plums.
TONIC (GREEN) to recharge the body with an infusion of mint and fresh fruit such as kiwi or green apple.
PURIFY (YELLOW) to find balance with an infusion of fennel and fresh fruit such as pineapple, peach or apricot.
EXCITE (RED) to recover vigor with an infusion of blood orange and fresh fruit such as strawberries, raspberries, red apple, cherries and orange.

WINE CELLAR
There is a characterful Tuscan wine cellar made up of 2 rooms and a bathroom available to guests. It includes a tasting room with large feature fireplace. A sommelier is available on request  to assist with tasting and/or purchase of wines, advising on the combining of wine and food and offering a simple snack or more refined dishes paired expertly by the chef.

OUTDOORS

Villa Marianna is surrounded by an extensive Italian style garden with beautiful pergolas with roses close to the swimming pool. There is outdoor dining for 22 guests and various areas to relax in.  The elegant, salt water pool is set in a large lawn. (16 x 9 mts). There is a hydro-massage area with seating making it also suitable for small children.
