Villa Maggio is located amongst the gently rolling Tuscan hills, between the wonderful towns of Pienza and Montepulciano, just a short distance from the thermal baths of Bagno Vignoni. The Villa sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. It has its own swimming pool and surrounding garden. It has a traditional wood oven suitable for making pizza and bread and a barbecue.
The villa is set in truly stunning countryside and is just a short drive to the local village at 3km. Pienza, a gorgeous, characterful village famous for its cheese making is just a short drve at 10km, Torrita di Siena, a local town that hosts several traditional festas during the year is at 9km, and renowned wine towns such as Montepulciano (11km) and Montalcino (29km) are within easy reach. There are also several natural spas all within 30/40 mins to take time out to relax after sightseeing. This is a fabulous scenic area to base yourself in to explore some of the best Tuscan scenery there is and to experience the many Tuscan wine towns close by.

SLEEPS 8

GROUND FLOOR

On the ground floor there is a spacious hall, which leads into to a lovely, light blue, well equipped fitted kitchen (5 burner stove, wood oven, small electric oven, dishwasher, coffee machines, large fridge). There is an open plan living room with a delightful open fire place and a dining room, which is connected to the kitchen through a characteristic arch. The hall offers direct access to a little portico, where there is a wood burning oven and a pergola covered with beautiful wisteria, making it the perfect shady setting for an "al fresco" lunch or dinner. From the pergola there is a view of the swimming pool and the gently rolling Tuscan hills.
The bedrooms, which all have en suite bathrooms, are individually designed and inspired by the plants, flowers and fruit around the property and include Lavender, Pomegranate, Rose hip and Strawberry tree. One bedroom is located on the ground floor and has direct access to the garden. The other bedroooms are on the first floor.

STRAWBERRY ROOM (QUEEN BED)

This pretty room is located on the ground floor and  has a Queen bed. The walls are deep orange, the typical colour of the Strawberry tree, creating a cosy, sunny atmosphere. There is direct access to the garden from the bedroom and it has an en suite bathroom with double sinks and a shower.

FIRST FLOOR

ROSE HIP ROOM (2 SINGLE BEDS - TWIN)

A twin room in a deep red colour, typical of rose hip berries and makes this room extremely pretty and cosy. At sunset the sun’s rays strike the walls, creating a wonderful interplay of light. The en suite bathroom, with a shower and large sink, is the same colour.

LAVENDER ROOM (QUEEN)

The unmistakeable lavender colour of the walls, brightened by a touch of mustard yellow, creates a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. It features a wonderful four poster bed and has a spacious en suite bathroom with a large shower and a roll top bathtub, which adds to the feeling of complete relaxation.

POMEGRANATE ROOM (QUEEN) - MASTER

This is the Master bedroom and it has a Queen size bed. Its pinky-orange colour, typical of the pomegranate, gives this room a warm, cosy atmosphere. It has a large, elegant bathtub inside the room and a beautiful view over the gently rolling Tuscan hills from the window. The views are spectacular and overloook the pool to one side and the fabulous countryside toteh other. It is a particularly Romantic room

OUTDOORS

The villa has a very large garden (3,000 sq mts) and panoramic views towards Montepulciano and over the surrounding countryside. The pool (6 x 12 mts) is set at a short distance from the house and has a pretty covered pergola for shade as well as an outdoor BBQ/grill and an outdoor shower. There is an additional covered pergola right outside the house for relaxing and/ or dining outdoors. The villa also has a traditional wood oven for making pizzas or fresh bread.

There are several spas at 30 – 40 mins drive that include Chianciano Terme , which has several spas, Bagno Vignoni which has a pretty  village and great views and also Bagno San Fillipo.
Pienza is within easy reach (15 mins – 10km) and has fabulous views and a historic town and is famous for its cheese.
Montepulciano (11km) is 17 mins drive and famous for its wines.
Montalcino (29km)  is 35 mins and famous for its rich Brunello wines and vineyards
