Villa Ambra is a restored borgo located above the village of Ambra in southern Chianti. It is set amongst olive trees, vineyards and forests. The medieval village has been brought back to life with a careful restoration of both the main villa and surrounding buildings. 

Villa Ambra has accommodation for up to forty people in twenty bedrooms, suites and apartments. It is available as a private venue, suitable for weddings, parties, retreats and family holidays.

Local Tourist Tax: €2 per day per person over 12 years x 7 days. Payable in cash on arrival.

Security Deposit: € payable in cash or by card on arrival, which is held and refunded on departure

RESTAURANTS

Villa Ambra has a number of dining options overseen by Marialuisa Lovari, a local aretino chef who is part of the Italian National team. Marialuisa has taken part in many international competitions including most recently the predigious Bocuse d’Or Italia 2020.

  • Cucina Donnaluisa -  Has four rooms  leading to a terrace surrounded by a herb garden, perfect for al fresco dining
  • Restaurant Lola, - Situated near the swimming pool and it is suitable both for informal dining and large parties.
  • La Vela Bianca - Is a grand garden hall, perfect for big events. Surrounded by trees and gardens, it has glass doors that can be fully opened for summer events.

OUTDOORS

The villa is surrounded by private gardens and has panoramic views over the Chianti hills, vineyards and olive groves. There is a private pool surrounded by lavendar plants, a childrens' play area and various outdoor dining areas.
