With its restaurant, church, theatre and idyllic setting, Castello Visconti is the perfect location for holidays, parties, romantic weddings, exploring the Tuscan countryside or simply a blissful retreat with someone special.
Located within easy reach of San Casciano dei Bagni (spa town) and also Cetona, it is a great location for exploring the wonderful picture postcards views of southern Tuscany. Other parts of Tuscany are an easy day trip away.

Castello Visconti’s five holiday rental villas and 2 apartments are immaculate, extremely comfortable and beautifully appointed. All the bedrooms have sparkling modern en suite bathrooms. Crisp cotton bed linen and generous fluffy towels add to the feeling of luxury. The houses are elegantly furnished with antiques from Tuscany and the floors are covered in hand woven kilims. Each villa has a fully equipped kitchen.
Outside, lavender edged paths wind through enchanting gardens and roses trail over terraces set out for al fresco dining. In addition there are 2 beautiful pools. Each house has full central heating and open fires. There is a television which gets BBC World News and CNN, a DVD player, stereo and docking station for iPod/iPhone.

SLEEPS 34

VILLA 1 - sleeps 8

This is a large villa set within its own private garden. It has the advantage of a beautiful swimming pool with pool house and full changing and shower facilities. There is also a covered area for al fresco dining.
This villa, like all the properties in this pretty hamlet, has been totally restored but has maintained all the original architectural features of a Tuscan house, with its vaulted painted ceilings, colour  washed walls and stone floors. The rooms are beautifully furnished with Italian antiques and attractive rugs. Wonderful pictures hang on the walls. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all luxuriously appointed with beautiful bed linen and towels.
The villa has a master bedroom suite with two dressing rooms, a double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. All the rooms have an en suite bathroom with a separate shower and bath. There is a study, sitting room with open fireplace, library/hall and a dining room with a table that can seat 14. The kitchen is fully equipped. Outside in the walled garden there is a covered area and a table for al fresco dining. The villa has WI FI and a fax machine.

VILLA 2 - sleeps 6

This villa has remarkable far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. It has its own private pool and garden with long expanses of lawn, a vine-covered pergola and an abundance of rosemary, lavender and roses. There is a delightful terrace for outdoor dining with a table that can seat 12.  The house, with its beamed ceilings, stone flagged floors covered with kilims, terracotta tiles and colour washed walls in authentic colours, is full of beautiful antiques. It has a large cosy sitting room with working fireplace, a delightful semi circular study, part of the tower, complete with an antique desk and leather chair, a dining room for 12, which is just wonderful by candlelight, with wine kept cool in the small cellar and a beautifully equipped kitchen with American fridge/ice maker.
There is a master bedroom suite with dressing room and bathroom with Victorian bath, huge walk in shower and marble topped double basins. In addition there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom both with luxuriously appointed en suite bathrooms with a separate shower and bath.
The villa has WI FI and a fax machine.

This pretty stone villa, is situated in the middle of the 11th century hamlet.
Set amidst lovely surroundings with two very pretty patio gardens, the villa has been tastefully and lovingly restored, maintaining the original architecture and beamed ceilings throughout.
The villa is entered via the pretty patio gardens into a spacious dining hall. The large, comfortable sitting room, with working fireplace is accessed through an archway leading from the dining hall. The fully-equipped kitchen, complete with dining area, has all modern conveniences and is light and airy.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, each with en-suite bathrooms with separate shower and bath.

VILLA 4 - sleeps 6

This villa is an extremely comfortable house with a most welcoming atmosphere. It is located near Villa 2 and the theatre. Two small but delightful gardens offer al fresco dining or a quiet spot to read.
The property, like all the houses in this pretty hamlet, is furnished with beautiful antiques and wonderful rugs. There is an extremely comfortable sitting room with working fireplace, dining room and kitchen, equipped with the most modern appliances and long marble topped counters.
There are three luxuriously appointed bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom with separate bath and shower. The spacious master bedroom has a king-sized bed and the other two double bedrooms have queen-sized beds. One of the double rooms has the advantage of a separate study.

OUTDOORS

Outdoors lavender edged paths wind through enchanting gardens and roses trail over terraces set out for al fresco dining. There are beautiful spots among the grounds and gardens for relaxing and dining outdoors. As well as this, there are 2 beautiful pools (heated on request). The castle provides a magnificent backdrop to this wonderful hamlet and the property enjoys wonderful views from around the grounds.

WEDDINGS

The property is perfect for special events with its romantic location, beautiful church, Michelin star restaurant, theatre for dancing and entertainment, gardens, spectacular views and five houses and two apartments that can sleep up to 34 guests, all within close proximity of one another. Civil ceremonies can be celebrated in the gardens and there is a large indoor space for indoor receptions that seats 100 guests or 150 with the addition of a marquee. 

RESTAURANT

The village restaurant is situated 650m above sea level and offers panoramic views over southern Tuscany from its rose and wisteria covered terraces. It is a one Michelin star restaurant, managed by a 3 star Michelin chef. The restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine but specialises in home-made Tuscan pasta with locally sourced ingredients. You can enjoy either a simple plate of fresh pasta or a gourmet/tasting menu. To accompany the food, the wine list features a number of the great Super Tuscan wines as well as other locally produced wines of excellent quality.
