Borgo Montegonzi was originally a large country farm, located in Chianti just outside the local village  (1km). It has been renovated to provide comfortable holiday apartments and B&B rooms and can be rented along with an independent villa for 8 with its own pool at 300 mts. The property is made up of several buildings and has beautiful views over the valley below and has a multitude of facilities to content most family groups. These include stables, private tennis court, gym, massage room, Yoga Terrace, reading room, a large pool as well as a plunge pool. The property has its own restaurant so you can savour its Tuscan specialities without a the need to drive.
Borgo Montegonzi is a perfect base, for exploring Chianti and visiting Florence (62km) and Arezzo (50km), which are all within easy reach. The local village is a stone's throw, the local supermarket is 3km and a larger town with a hypermarket, all amenities and fast trains into Florence is a short drive.

APARTMENT 1 - SLEEPS 2

Situated on the ground and first floor. It has a large living room/kitchen on the ground floor. The living room has a vaulted terracotta ceiling, terracotta floors, rustic furniture and an open fireplace. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. An open staircase leads to the first floor bedroom. The double bedroom has a rustic, wooden beamed ceiling and a wooden floor. There is a bathroom with shower. The apartment also has a terrace to the rear off the kitchen, where you can simply relax or dine "al fresco", whilst enjoying the stunning views over the Tuscan countryside and the Arno valley below.

Both rooms have bathrooms, one has a shower and the other has a bath. The apartment has the use of a garden, which is to the side of the building.

The apartment is accessed up a few steps to the terrace and front door and is on one level. The living room has wooden beams, terracotta floors and is furnished in rustic Tuscan style. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and coffee machine. The apartment has two bedrooms, one double and one triple. The double bedroom has a rustic, wooden beamed ceiling, terracotta floor and a wrought iron bed. The twin room has a rustic wooden beamed ceiling, terracotta floor. There is one bathroom with shower. The apartment also has a terrace, where you can dine "al fresco".

APARTMENT 5 - SLEEPS 4+2

Situated on the ground and first floor. The large living room has wooden beams, terracotta floors and is furnished in rustic Tuscan style (it also has a sofa bed for an additional guest). The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and coffee machine. The apartment has two bedrooms, one twin and one triple. The twin bedroom has a terracotta floor and  wrought iron beds. The triple room has a terracotta floor and three single beds. There are two bathrooms with showers (one is suitable for disabled guests). The apartment also has two terraces, one in front of the apartment and one to the rear, where you can relax or dine "al fresco".

APARTMENT 6 - SLEEPS 9

Situated  on the first floor. It has a large living room, which has wooden beams, a terracotta floors, an open fireplace and is furnished in rustic Tuscan style. It also has a dining area and kitchen equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and coffee machine. The apartment has 4 bedrooms, (two doubles, one triple and a twin). The double bedrooms have terracotta floors and wrought iron beds. The triple room has wooden beams, a terracotta floor, 1 double bed and 1 single bed. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and a toilet. The apartment also has a large covered terrace, looking out over an "Italian garden", where you can dine "al fresco".

B&B ROOMS - SLEEP 8

There are 4 pretty B&B Rooms. a double/triple room, 2 standard double rooms and a single room. All have air con and en suite bathrooms.

RESTAURANT

The property has its own restaurant serving traditional Tuscan dishes. No need to drive. Just relax, enjoy a glass of wine and you only have a few steps to get home. Perfect for a relaxing break.

POOL

The pool (14.5 x 3.5mts) is located at a short distance from all of the apartments and B&B rooms. It is set in an open lawn area amongst olive trees and has fabulous views over the valley below. There is a covered pic nic area with table and chairs around the poolside for each individual apartment. There is also a smaller plunge pool in a more private part of the grounds. The property enjoys wonderful panoramic views over the valley.

WELLNESS/SPORTS

There is a gym, a massage room, as well as an open air Yoga Terrace to enjoy. Facilities on the property also include a stables for horse riding with lessons available, or trekking for more experienced riders. The stables include large paddocks and 2 open air riding arenas. There is also a private tennis court for guests to enjoy.

INDEPENDENT VILLA - SLEEPS 8

Located approx. 300 mts from the farmhouse accommodation is an independent villa.

GROUND FLOOR:

The first floor is also at ground level and accessed through a main door into the entrance hall. On the first floor there is a spacious living room with open fireplace and sat TV. Off the living room is a large, fully equipped kitchen with a large hob and oven, microwave and dishwasher. Off the living room are 2 bedrooms: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and there are 2  bathrooms with showers. There is a landing with access to the staircase to the lower floor.
Outdoors on this level is a covered patio furnished with large table and chairs for outdoor dining.

LOWER FLOOR (GROUND LEVEL)

On the lower floor (ground level) there is an additional sitting room with French doors to the large front terrace and there are a further 2 bedrooms; one double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. The twin room has a vaulted ceiling and French doors to the front terrace. The double bedroom has a large arched glass door, which also opens onto the front terrace. There is a laundry room to the side of the house with a washing machine and sink, ironing board and iron. It is accessed from the garden.

OUTDOORS

The villa is set in very large grounds and surrounded by olive trees and occasional fruit trees adjacent to the house. There are pretty views from both the house and garden and especially the pool area. Views are across olive groves in front of the house to the valley below and across to the Pratomagno hills opposite. The pool area sits off to the left of the house and is at a slightly higher level providing stunning views over the valley. There is a covered patio with table and chairs for outdoor dining, a ping pong table set in the shade and a furnished front terrace for relaxing outdoors. An outdoor BBQ is set off to the left of the villa
