Bookings
The following terms and conditions of booking form the basis of your contract with our trusted third party suppliers. Any extra services requested will be at the price listed / quoted and services are provided by our trusted suppliers. Where extra services are organised on your behalf, your contract will be directly with the supplier of such services and not with us. The supplier’s terms & conditions will apply to your booking (where they have them) or the terms and conditions below will apply. We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or other expense that you may incur as a result of you booking an extra service with any third party supplier

Travel Insurance
It is a condition of your booking that all members of the group are required to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical needs, cancellation or delays, personal liability including, but not only: theft, injury,  and/or activities where booked and any other requirements based on your country of residence. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure any insurance policy meets their needs and requirements.

Booking and Payment
Standard Terms:
There is a 30% or 35% deposit payable on booking
The balance is payable 4 weeks before the start date/ date of service
If a booking is made 4 weeks or less before, full payment is required on booking.
If the service is linked to a villa booking, the balance will be due with the villa rental in order to reduce the number of payments.

How to Book
Once dates and availability have been confirmed, a 30% - 35% deposit payment is required to confirm your booking. If the deposit is not received within the 4 day period we cannot guarantee that the dates will still be available. Please keep us updated as to the type of payment being made, expected time of arrival and if there are any delays. You will be advised of the balance and due date. On receipt of the balance payment, not less than 4 weeks before your start date/ date of service/ tour, all details regarding your itinerary, contact details, addresses etc will be sent out. If the balance payment is not received on time, the booking will be put on hold, pending cancellation until the balance payment or a written cancellation is received from the client. If booking is made less than 4 weeks before arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking. Confirmation and all details will be sent to the person in the group making the booking. This person should be over 18 years of age and have the authority from all persons in the group to make the booking. The names of all people in the group should be listed on the booking form.

Payment by Credit/Debit Card
We have a secure card payment facility. We also accept other forms of payment. Full details on request.

Data Protection
In order to complete your booking we require some personal details from you. We will only use this information in order to complete your booking and undertake to keep personal details confidential. For further information please see our Privacy Policy

Change to your Travel Plans
If your travel plans change en route and you will be late for any transfers that have been booked for you, please call one of the contacts you will be given on confirmation of your booking. If you are unable to reach them for any reason, contact us. If you are late for the transfer, we will not able to guarantee that drivers will be able to wait for you. We will endeavour to make alternative arrangements for you, but should any extra expense be incurred these are payable by the customer. If you do not inform the contact person listed or us of delays en route, we cannot guarantee there will be someone to meet you on arrival.

Last Minute Cancellation During Your Trip
Once your service has been booked and confirmed no individual item in it can then be changed / cancelled.  Once the service is underway no individual item in it can be changed / cancelled last minute and no refunds will be due. No refunds will be due for any no shows for services booked or individual items, which you decide not to take part in, for any reason during your stay.

Hours of Service
Where applicable, hours of service will be listed. The service will include the hours of service as listed, If the times of service are exceeded then an extra charge may be applicable. Service providers are in their rights to end a service at the time allocated.

Menus
Menus for chef service will be selected and confirmed by you prior to booking or prior to arrival for in villa chef service. Some seasonal items may not be available all year round.

Cancellation by you
30% or 35% deposit – non refundable 
Balance – non refundable
No show for any meals/lessons/services booked – no refund due

No show - lose 100%
All customers must have comprehensive trip cancellation / travel insurance.

Cancellation / Changes by us
If for any unforeseen reason, we have to change your booking and/or any part of your booking, we will do our best to offer you an alternative. If we have to cancel your booking/ part of your booking for reasons beyond our control, we will refund any monies due in full. No extra monies will be due. We do not accept liability for travel/flight expenses, or other expenses that may be incurred.
All customers must have comprehensive trip cancellation / travel insurance.

Late Arrival / Early Departure
No refunds will be due, if the customer is unable to arrive or complete a service on the expected day due to travel problems. This also applies in the case of early departure.

Number of Guests
The service is confirmed and booked for the number of guests listed on the booking form. No other people are permitted without prior notification. If the number of guests / participants changes, please inform us and we will send you an updated quote. If there are friends or additional people that turn up unexpectedly at any of the services booked on your behalf, an extra charge will be applied and is payable at the time in cash. If extra guests that have joined the group for any reason, cannot be accommodated last minute, then it is within the right of the property / service provider to refuse the extra guests.

Accidents, Injury or Theft
UNIQ Villas Ltd. trading as Rent a villa in Tuscany cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury whilst on holiday. We strongly recommend all customers to take out adequate travel insurance to cover health care, cancellation, travel, accident and injury, etc. European residents are advised to obtain an E1.11 now available in card form. This entitles the holder to benefit from reciprocal health agreements, which exist between certain European countries. Please note, that this does not substitute travel insurance in any way and does not cover emergency repatriation if required. Valuables are taken on holiday at your own risk. UNIQ Villas Ltd. trading as Rent a Villa in Tuscany cannot be held responsible for the theft of any personal belongings whilst on holiday.  Guests should familiarise themselves with safes and/or alarms and make use of them, where available. In the rare event of theft, please contact service/property staff immediately. If you need any further/ additional help, get in touch with us straight away.
As part of these booking terms and conditions all customers must take out adequate travel insurance to cover loss/ damage /theft of personal belongings while on holiday.

Force Majeure
UNIQ Villas Ltd t/a Rent a Villa in Tuscany or our suppliers do not accept responsibility for a cancellation, curtailment, disruption of a booking due to Force Majeur including: War, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural disaster, nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, epidemics, pandemics, water level changes and all other similar events outside of our control. Guests must take out adequate travel insurance to cover the above mentioned situations and a claim should be made via their insurance company.

Problems/Complaints
In the rare event of a problem or complaint, customers should immediately contact the service provider/ representative. Our service providers will do their very best to resolve any problems that might crop up. But in the event of difficulty, UNIQ Villas Ltd. trading as Rent a Villa in Tuscany should be contacted immediately (within 24 hrs), so that we can help resolve the situation for you as quickly as possible. Problems or complaints received at the end of a service will not be taken into consideration. Each complaint will be assessed individually.

Food Restrictions, Intolerances and Allergies
Any food restrictions, intolerances and/or allergies MUST be communicated well before the date of your service, so we can inform any service providers, where food is being prepared for you. We will pass on any notes referring to these on your behalf. We cannot be held responsible for any mistakes made by service providers. We cannot be held responsible for any incidents where the client has failed to communicate any food restrictions, allergies or intolerances.

Limitation of Liability - Covid 19
UNIQ Villas Ltd. trading as Rent a Villa in Tuscany cannot be held liable for any refunds, compensation, costs, expenses and/or other losses of any kind incurred by you (including the cost of medical treatment), in the following circumstances:

Before or on departure
1.    If you or anyone in your party, test positive for Covid 19 and/or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive and you are required to quarantine/self isolate for a set period of time.
If any/either of the above occur before departure (within 14 days of departure) and you cannot take up your booking, please inform us as soon as possible. You will have the following alternatives:
an offer of alternative dates (depending on availability at the time), receive a credit note, cancel your booking (standard terms & conditions will apply)

2.    You fail any tests, checks, or other measures imposed by a supplier, airline, port or airport, border control authority or other government body or local authority or fail to submit for testing or assessment when requested to do so, and as a consequence you are denied entry to board a flight, entry to your destination, access to the services or you are otherwise unable to proceed with the holiday or a portion of your holiday.

During your holiday
If you or anyone in your group either tests positive for Covid 19 or comes into contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid 19 during your holiday and you/they are required to quarantine/self isolate UNIQ Villas Ltd. trading as Rent a Villa in Tuscany will not be responsible for covering the cost of any early departure, missed transport arrangements, additional accommodation requirements and/or any other associated costs incurred by you. It is a condition of your booking that all members of the group are required to have adequate travel insurance to cover all/any of the above mentioned situations. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure any insurance policy meets their needs and requirements.

By agreeing to our Terms and Conditions you also agree to adhere to any local guidance and/ or requirements in place due to Covid 19. This may include, but is not limited to, use of face masks when required/instructed, hand sanitisation, social distancing, maximum number restrictions, limits and/or restrictions of certain services, any other restrictions/regulations currently in place at the time of your stay. These measures are put in place in line with local guidance both for your safety and the safety of others.

Changes to our Terms & Conditions
We reserve the right to update / change our Terms & Conditions at any time without prior warning. All changes will be updated to our online page and these terms and conditions will be considered valid at all times and override any previous conditions. Guests should refer to this page for any recent updates/ changes.

Notes
Any extra services offered on this website and/or quoted for by us are available to be purchased separately as well as together. The price charged in total for any booking of more than one element will always equal the prices charged separately for each individual element. This means that any multiple bookings do not constitute a package as defined in the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

Disputes
By completing and submitting the booking form you agree to the above terms and conditions. Please note, that should a dispute be taken to court, Scottish law will be used as the basis for deciding the dispute and the law courts in Edinburgh will have jurisdiction.
