Security Deposit: 3,000 (euros), which is held and returned 14 days after departure .

Also on the ground floor is a downstairs bathroom


First Floor
There are 4 sunny and spacious queen bedded rooms with beamed ceilings and original terracotta floors each with modern en-suite bath and shower facilities.

The pool is located to the front of the villa and set in a large lawn area. There are pretty wrought iron tables and chairs that provide an elegant setting for dining al fresco.


Planning your stay
Villa Frate is an ideal base from which to discover the many delights of Tuscany. The medieval walled town of Lucca is a 10 minute drive away the small city is very easy to get around and discover for yourself or guided tours can be arranged.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa (30 minutes away) has recently opened to the public. It is stunningly set in an open lawned piazza which also houses the Cathedral, Baptistery and Campo Santo Cemetery. A 40 minute drive will take you to the little port and town of Lerici overlooked by a cliff top castle from where boats leave every hour to Portovenere and the World Heritage site of the Cinque Terre;five dramatically cliff clinging villages. Renaissance Florence is just an hour away, either by train or car.
Siena is an hour and a half away with possible stops on the way to San Gimignano and Monteriggioni , as is Chianti where you can arrange a wine-tasting at one of the many vineyards.
For those interested in art and sculpture there are the impressive marble quarries of Carrara as well as the sculpture town of Pietrasanta. Forte dei Marmi is a lively beach stop with some great shopping as you join the masses in the early evening stroll through the town.
There are many wonderful restaurants to try in the area.
