Villa Bocca is a historic villa located just north of Lucca. The fashion for country villas as a place to relax and recharge was started in the 14th century. Villa Bocca is a perfect example of a country retreat for the nobility and was built in 1729. It is set in a huge private country estate of vineyards and olive groves, which still produces wine and olive oil today. Villa Bocca is exceptionally spacious and provides a stunning setting for a special event such as a wedding or family reunion or special occassion. There is also additional accommodation close by  Villa Bocca Dependance, Villa Geranio, Villa Maddalena and others.
Villa Bocca is a perfect base, for exploring Lucca, which is just 10 /15 min drive into the town centre. It is within a 30 min drive of the Tuscan coast and chic beach resorts such as Forte dei Marmi. Florence is a 45 min drive and the local village is walking distance at 1.5km.

Villa Bocca is an exceptionally spacious villa, which is perfect for a large family group or a special event. This superb historic villa is located just outside the walled city of Lucca and has pretty views. It has been tastefully restored and has spacious rooms and can easily hold a very large group and still have space for guests to lose themselves in the quiet of the villa or garden. The estate is particularly suited to events, meetings and courses. In addition there is also a conference space in another building on the same estate providing extra facilities if required.

GROUND FLOOR

There is an entrance hall with traditional black and white tiles. This opens on the right hand to a huge, professionally equipped Tuscan kitchen with a dining table that can seat up to 16 guests. To the left, there is a large utility room and 2 guest bathrooms. There is a large dining room that opens on to the garden to seat up to 30 guests and a double sitting room with frescoed ceiling and log fireplace (working fireplace). There are 2 additional sitting rooms, one is used as a library and has a wood burning stove and the other is a music and TV room with sat TV. As in many historic family villas there is a pretty family chapel on the corner of the villa which is accessed from outdoors.

FIRST FLOOR

An original stone staircase from the ground floor living room leads to the first floor. To the right, large double doors lead to what was originally the ballroom. Also on this floor are 2 double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms with tub and shower.

• Piano Nobile. - Beautiful, spacious room with frescoed ceilings and walls, grand piano, 2 balconies, an external staircase, beautiful views across the grounds. Suitable for a small reception of up to 25 (Dancing can take place in the Studio, but not in the Piano Nobile).
• Master Bedroom 1. With views across the gardens to the mountains, with a four-poster king size bed, en-suite bathroom with marble shower and separate bath and dressing room.
• Master Bedroom 2. Charming bedroom with frescoed ceilings. Views across the grounds and valley. A four-poster king size bed, en-suite bathroom with marble shower and separate bath. Dressing room. Sitting room with sofa, chairs and divan which can sleep an extra person.
• Both these rooms have fridge, tea/coffee-making facilities.
  

SECOND FLOOR

On the second floor there are  a total of 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. There are two areas on this floor with fridges and tea/coffee making facilities. Also a sitting area with a large bookcase. Children’s cots and highchairs available. Basket of children’s toys and books can be put in bedrooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning.

The villa is set in very large well kept grounds and has lovely views. There is a private pool (14.5 x 7.5 mts) heated on request, located to the rear of the villa and set in the extensive grounds. The large swimming pool is fenced in making it child friendly. It also has a children’s area at one end as well as a changing room with shower.

• Pergola with table, sun chairs, changing room behind the pool area.
• Many outdoor seating areas, including a large marble table seating 26 under a huge sun umbrella, and sun beds for the lawn.
• The property is very beautiful with walks through the olive groves and wooded areas. It is walled and gated making it very private.
