Villa Chiara is a pretty stone villa located just outside Cortona, a wonderful hill top town, with festivals all throughout the summer. It is close to Lake Trasimeno (16km) with its tiny islands and the wine towns of Montepulciano (30km) and Montalcino (65km), where you can taste some excellent Tuscan wines. The renaissance cities of Siena and Florence are an easy day trip too. It is in a great central loaction for exploring both central and southern Tuscany, which has lots to offer together with some of the best scenery.

The villa is a spacious farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century, located in a spectacular, private hillside setting amidst 15 acres of terraced olive groves and fruit trees (pears, plums, cherry and apple.) Cortona, with its shops, restaurants and market is a 20 minute walk away along a quiet lane that takes you through woods of oak and chestnut trees, over a stream and up past a beautiful Renaissance church. The villa has a private pool set in an amazing panoramic terrace, which faces west towards the sunset, overlooking the valley below and the rooftops of Cortona. Cortona is walking distance and just 1.5km.

The villa has 2 floors and it can accommodate up to 10 people in 5  bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This 17 century farmhouse has been beautifully restored, with terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and many antique pieces.
