When you are planning your Wedding in Tuscany, the first, most important decision to make is the perfect Tuscan Wedding Venue.

Here’s our advice on how to choose the perfect venue for your Wedding in Tuscany.

• How many guests are on your invite list? What’s the approx. breakdown? i.e. how many single friends, families, older folks etc This will influence the type of accommodation you’ll need.

• How long do you think they’ll all stay? Close family 1 week, friends 3 days etc. Most properties rent by the week, some will rent by the night. You may need both.

• Type of ceremony i.e. full religious , civil ceremony, symbolic blessing? Each has its own rules and regulations. Catholic church weddings are not always allowed in all areas. If you choose a civil ceremony, many Tuscan “registry offices” are medieval and make the perfect backdrop. There are various options for symbolic blessings, ask for our advice when considering a particular venue.

• Your dream/your budget – unfortunately! these two need to be considered together. Your dream may be a luxury Tuscan Castle with a horse drawn carriage, your budget may not stretch. However, many memorable events are priceless. Dancing barefoot in a Tuscan olive grove as the sun sets over the Chianti hills won’t break your budget but the memories will last for ever.
