Villa Torre is a fabulous medieval tower dating back to the 12th century. It is located right in the heart of this tiny picturesque village. This beautiful tower was a house of a nobleman in the 18th century and has now been lovingly restored to create top class accommodation for Bed & Breakfats accommodation or the villa can be rented as a whole villa for a large group. The owner has restored this historical tower with great attention to detail and many antique pieces have been cleverly used in its restoration in keeping with the fantastic character of the house. The tower is located in a tiny village, which dates back to the 11th century, set in pretty countryside and within easy reach of the local town of Gaiole in Chianti (6kms) and Radda in Chianti. The village has two restaurants and a good grocer’s shop so you don’t need to travel far to get your essentials.

All have en suite bathrooms with showers, King size beds and one can be made a twin room. One spacious bedroom has a romantic four poster bed. Also on the first floor is a cosy breakfast room with an open fireplace.

This historic tower dates back to the 12 century and the village itself dates back to the 11th century. The village is steeped in history and was the scene of many battles between the warring Florentines and Sienese armies as they battled for control over these two important cities. This tiny village, originally took the form of a castle and was in fact on the border of Siena and Florence and so was very strategic. This fabulous tower is a perfect location to enjoy the scenic countryside of Chianti.
On the ground floor of the villa they have a wonderful wine therapy centre with walls lined with fine wines and antique barrels. It is complete with a Bacchus Bath where you can relax all your cares away in an invigorating hydromassage bath with hot water and extract of wine. Guests at the Villa Torre have the use of a beautiful garden and pool at just 100 mts from the house at a small hotel that is part of this pretty village. The garden is planted with lavender and olive tress and overlooks vineyards. The large pool is set in pretty gardens and guests can also use the bar and restaurant at the hotel, which has a lovely covered pergola for eating “al fresco”.
