Villa Montepulciano is a pretty farmhouse, which dates back to the 1850’s and is situated in the heart of wine country close to Montepulciano. Once part of a large farm estate producing wine and olive oil, the present young owners are continuing this tradition by producing a boutique wine and olive oil of their own. There are fabulous 360 degree views all around the villa over vineyards, which produce some of the best quality wines in the area and stretch as far as the eye can see. In the near distance you can see the hilltop town of Montepulciano and in the far distance Cortona. There are also beautiful views across the vineyards to a historic villa, which belongs to one of the best known vineyards in the area. The vineyards stretch out into the distance creating a stunning backdrop to this pretty farmhouse throughout the seasons.
Villa Montepulciano is a perfect base, for exploring the uniquely beautiful area around Montepulciano. It is also within easy reach of Pienza (25 mins) and Montalcino (45 mins), world renowned for its excellent Brunello wines.

Villa Montepulciano

Ground Floor:
The main entrance leads into the ground floor reception rooms. Most of the ground floor is open plan giving the villa a very spacious feel. It is a large spacious villa that can easily accommodate a large family group. There is a large lounge area with a log burning stove and arched doors as well as French doors that open onto the garden. The lounge area leads through to the spacious kitchen / diner. The kitchen is well equipped and has a 5 ring gas hob, large oven and dishwasher. There are very large picture windows in the kitchen, which open onto an outside patio ideal for dining “al fresco”. From these windows you get a beautiful view over the vineyards to a historic villa, which belongs to one of the best known wineries in the area.

Also on the ground floor, off the central reception rooms is a wine library with price list and also a double bedroom with door to the garden and an en suite bathroom with walk in shower.Off the lounge is a couple of steps down to a slightly lower level where there is a hall way with a a double bedroom with an arched door to the garden and across the hallway it has a bathroom with walk in shower. At the end of the hallway there is a very spacious double bedroom with a day bed that becomes two twin beds for a family group or a group of children. This bedroom has 2 doors to the garden and an en suite bathroom with walk in shower. It has pretty criss cross terracotta brick detailing traditionaly found in Tuscan barns.

First Floor:
On the first floor there is another lounge area and a second well equipped kitchen with a hob, oven, fireplace/BBQ and a dishwasher. On this floor there is a large master bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a large bathtub as well as a walk in shower. Also on this floor is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with walk in shower. All the bedrooms are air conditioned.

Cottage:
There is a small adjacent barn conversion at the villa just off the patio and close to the villa. It is open plan and has a spacious bedroom (air conditioned) with living area and an en suite bathroom with walk in shower.

The villa is set in a large garden with 360 degree views all round across beautiful vineyards as far as the eye can see. The pool (10 x 5 mts) is located at a short distance from the villa. From the pool, there are unspoilt views over beautiful countryside. The villa also has an orchard allowing guests to enjoy fresh seasonal fruit. There are two patios with pergolas for dining “al fresco”.
In the evening the sun sets behind Montepulciano in the near distance providing a breathtaking view at sunset.
