Villa Monte is a pretty stone farmhouse located in the countryside south of Siena. It has fabulous open views over the countryside and towards Monte Cetona and Monte Amiata in the distance. It has very large grounds that extend all around the house. The farmhouse is located on a large country castle estate and is in a very private part of the estate and approx 1 km from the castle itself. The garden is surrounded by vineyards and has lovely open views all round. It is also 10 mins from Rapolano Terme where there are hot thermal springs. Our favourite now has an indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools, a fabulous panoramic bar / restaurant with breathtaking views over the Tuscan countryside. They also do various treatments on request. It is a great treat!
Villa Monte is a perfect property if you want a private country location for a large family group. It is close to Serre di Rapoalano, Lucignano and within easy reach of Siena (40 mins and Cortona (30 mins) and Lake Trasimeno (30 mins) .

Prices include: Electricity, water, gas, linen, use of pool, daily cleaning of 3 hours per day 5 days per week (not Saturday, Sunday or holidays) for groups of 16 and 2 hours for groups of 12 and 10 guests, services of a gardener, final cleaning, local taxes.

Not included: Heating in winter paid on amount consumed.

Security Deposit: €1,000 (euros) payable in cash on arrival, which is held and returned to you at the end of your stay.

This spacious farmhouse is part of a country castle estate, set in 400 hectares of private grounds. It sits on a small hillside on its own, a short distance from the castle itself. The villa has its own private fenced garden, parking and private pool. This is a superb house for a large group. The house is on two floors each being very spacious . This is a very large house and has lots of room to host a large family group. The gardens are enormous again providing lots of space for children and adults alike. There is a pretty courtyard off the kitchen with a table, chairs and umbrella for “al fresco” dining. The castle, located close by, can offer wine tastings and the estate products are also on sale.

Ground floor:
There is a large front door into an entrance hall. The house extends left and right of the hall and also through to the back of the house too. There is a studio, spacious living room with TV, large dining roomwell-equipped kitchen with oven, large American style fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even an original wood oven. Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms, one with en suite bathroom with shower. There is also an additional toilet and a shower room. A pretty courtyard can be accessed from the kitchen, which has a table , chairs and umbrella. All the ground floor windows have screens on them.








First floor
There are two sets of stairs to the first floor. One is located to the front of the house and the second to the rear of the house. Here there are six double bedrooms all with wooden floors and many have antique furniture. One has an en suite bathroom with a hydromassage bath and shower, 4 have en suite bathrooms with showers and one bedroom has a bathroom adjacent to it with a hydromassage bath.
Please note that some of the double rooms can be made twins on request.





The very large 10 x 20 mt pool is located to the side of the house.. There are loungers around the poolside and it is set in a lawned area
