Villa Luiano is a lovely restored farmhouse and adjacent barn. It has been restored with taste, retaining many original features in the main farmhouse and creating a fabulous contemporary feel to the barn. The house is a perfect base, for visiting Florence (20 mins), Siena (30 mins) and the area north of Siena including Monteriggioni and San Gimignano, which are all within easy reach.

Villa Luiano is a pretty farmhouse on two floors with an adjacent restored barn. It has been restored maintaining many of the original features of the house including the chestnut beams and terracotta floors. The adjacent barn has been restored with a modern minimalist touch and has large open plan spaces and provides well lit spacious accommodation for four. It is a great base for exploring San Casciano and the surrounding wine countryside famous for its wines, including the Antinori winery.

Main Farmhouse – sleeps 6

Villa Luiano The main house on two floors, has many traditional features such as wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. The furnishings are a pretty mix of both country style as well as more modern touches. The adjacent restored barn has been restored by its architect owner with great attention to detail and has a minimalist feel to it, which suits this pretty barn. The house and barn are set amongst vineyards, which extend well beyond the house and there are pretty views to the rolling countryside that surround the house.
Villa Luiano is located 5 mins from the local village of Mercatale where there are a number of shops including a supermarket, chemist, bars, banks, post office, and other local shops. There are also local buses into Florence city centre.


Ground floor:
On the ground floor the entrance is from the side of the house up a small set of stairs. There is a dining room and living room with large open fireplace and exposed rock walls. Off the dining room is a kitchen with a large gas hob (6 rings) oven, large fridge, dishwasher and double sink. There is an adjacent laundry room with a washing machine.

First floor:
On the first floor there are two twin bedrooms, a large bathroom with shower and a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with hydromassage bath and shower fitment.

Ground Floor
The barn is located adjacent to the main farmhouse and sits to the left and overlooks the garden and pool. It is a spacious house for four and an extra bed can be supplied for a child. The ground floor has large glass doors that open onto the patio and garden. Entrance is into the kitchen to the right, which is very well equipped and has a large hob, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and large fridge. The kitchen leads into the long, spacious living area, which has an open fireplace and is equipped with satellite TV, DVD player, stereo. There are glass doors that lead onto the patio where there are outside tables and chairs for eating outside.

First floor:
There is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom also with en suite bathroom with shower. There is also access to an outside staircase to the garden from the hall on the top floor.

Both houses have a patio area with outside tables and chairs for eating “al fresco”. The pool is located in front of both the farmhouse and barn and set in a lawn. There are sun loungers and chairs around the pool for sunbathing. The property and garden are set amongst pretty vineyards.
