Villa Lavanda is a a lovely stone farmhouse on two floors located right in the heart of the stunning landscapes of Chianti just outside the local village of Panzano and has lovely views to the across rolling countryside dotted with country farmhouses. The house is set in a large garden that extends into olive groves around the property. The house is a perfect property for a family group looking for a beautiful setting and within reach of the beautiful renaissance city of Florence (50 mins away). The house is a perfect base, for exploring Chianti and visiting Florence (50 mins) or Siena(40 mins) which are all within easy reach. Villa Lavanda is in a country location and yet close to the local town of Greve in Chianti, which has a a variety of local shops in the centre of town. Some local supplies can also be bought in the small local village of Panzano home of nationally famous butcher. (Checchini), who is known to recite poetry in his shop!

This is a spacious house, which is perfect for a large family group. The farmhouse has been restored using traditional materials, which include terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. It retains all of its original character. It has been furnished using top quality fixtures and fittings and is very stylish.

Ground floor
There is an outside toilet on the ground floor for use form the garden for easy access in the summer months. The entrance is into the well-equipped kitchen with an open fireplace. Off the kitchen is a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and a large fridge freezer. There is a very large spacious sitting room with a sofa bed for additional guests. There is a pretty open fireplace and a large arched French door that opens onto the garden. Also on the ground floor is a very spacious bathroom with pretty roll top bath, shower and large sink. There is a large double bedroom on the ground floor, which opens onto the garden.








First floor
The ground floor and first floor are not connected internally. The first floor is accessed by a stair and covered loggia . There is a large well-equipped kitchen with a large hob and oven, dishwasher, double sink, fridge freezer marble worktops. The kitchen has a large eating area with table and chairs and an open fireplace. There is also a separate dining room adjacent to the kitchen. Steep wooden stairs (not suitable for toddlers or the elderly) lead up from the dining room to a pretty attic twin room with its own en suite bathroom. On the first floor there are also 3 very spacious double bedrooms (one with a pretty four poster bed) and a single bedroom.

Adjacent Barn
This charming little barn can accommodate an extra 3 guests. It has a well-equipped kitchen with hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine and marble worktops. There is a double bedroom that is open onto a living room area. Stairs lead down to the lower floor where there is a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

There are fabulous views all around the house over rolling countryside. The large pool (12 x 6 mts) is located just below the house on a pretty terrace overlooking the valley and down over vineyards and across to hills and woods in the distance. The pool are is not overlooked at all and has open views but at the same time is very private. There are various patios around the house for eating “al fresco” and the pretty garden is planted with lavender and rosemary. The farmhouse is located just outside Panzano, a pretty hilltop village where there are a couple of restaurants both with a pretty terace with views and there is also a wine shop with an extensive range of wines.
