Villa Cardinale – Double Rooms & Suites
This is a perfect location for a special occasion, a honeymoon or just a relaxing retreat for a wonderful holiday. This family run Villa has been recently restored but retains its old world charm. The Villa dates back to the 1400’s when it was Cardinal Passerini’s Manor House and hunting lodge. Cardinal Passerini, a very influential person, was treasurer to the Vatican and Bishop of Cortona. He died in Rome under mysterious circumstances. It is now a beautiful, elegant, country hotel with a refined touch of class.
The Double rooms and Suites are on the first and second (pretty attic floor) floor of this stunning Villa and many have lovely four poster beds.

On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, reception, and elegantly furnished restaurant, which also makes use of the terrace in summer for eating “al fresco”. There is a lounge area next to reception and an impressive staircase that leads to a first floor lounge. There are pretty views from both the Villa and garden. Views are across the countryside towards Cortona. The pool is to the side of the Villa and the garden is planted with lavender and roses that scent the air on the summer breeze.
