Villa Archi is a wonderful country villa dating back to the 16th century and owned by a family whose ancestors were bankers, notaries and theologians in Siena in the 14th century. With 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, it is great for a large group of 20 guests and provides exceptionally spacious accommodation. It has a large dining room with picture windows and an open fireplace making it a perfect venue for a special occasion or an event ( seats 80 guests and additional accommodation for up to 60 guests is available at the main farm). It is in a superb location for visiting Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano. All of this along with being located in the wonderful landscape of the Crete Senese and just a stone's throw from the World Heritage protected area of Val D’Orcia makes this a special location.

Villa Archi dates back to The 16th century and is owned by a family whose history dates as far back as the 14th century. This extremely spacious country villa is set in a stunning location and has panoramic views from all around the property. Set in fabulous, unspoilt scenery, it is a haven for any discerning traveller. It is part of a 212 hectare country farm estate producing organic olive oil and top quality wines. It is located in the Crete Senese and is also very close to Val D’Orcia which is a World Heritage protected area because of its superb landscapes.

Ground Floor
This impressive country villa is accessed along a pretty cypress tree lined driveway leading up to the front of the villa. The striking feature of arches along the first floor of the villa catches your eye as you arrive.There is an entrance hall and a large dining room with frescoed ceiling and a door to the loggia and courtyard area to the rear of the villa. There is a large living room with an open fireplace, DVD and central music system, satellite TV and an arched door opens onto the gardenThere is a second dining room with frescoed ceiling and also a large double bedroom ( can be a triple) with a bathroom and hydromassge bath and a shower above the bath. This room also has a door onto the garden and a connecting room for an extra single bed. Also on the ground floor is a further double bedroom that opens onto the garden with an en suite bathroom with shower (suitable for the disabled). There is an office with a computer, fax, phone and WI FI ADSL internet is available, The WI FI connection also covers some of the garden areas as well. There is a professional kitchen complete with spacious walk in professional fridge for large groups and also a large fridge / freezer, double sink, ice maker, professional dishwasher, large hob, oven and 3 sinks.

Also on the ground floor is an exceptionally spacious dining room that can be used for events or special occasions that seats up to 80 guests. It has large picture windows overlooking the garden and a pretty open fireplace and has lovely views. There are two toilets on the ground floor that can be used for guests in the case of an event. Additional accommodation for up to 60 guests is available very close by at the main farm.

First Floor
An original stone staircase leads up to the first floor, where there is a fabulous loggia (now closed in with windows) overlooking the front of the villa and driveway. Off the loggia are 6 double bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. The first is a large double with its own terrace and pretty views with a bathroom with shower, there is a double room with an antique iron bed that opens onto a large terrace and en suite bathroom with shower. A further large double with an extra single bed with an en suite bathroom with marble sink and a shower. Another large double bedroom can be made a twin. It has an en suite bathroom with shower and marble sink. A double room that can be made a twin with en suite bathroom with hydromassage bathtub and a shower above the bath. There is also a twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. All bedrooms have screens on the windows.

Adjacent cottage
To the side of the main villa is an adjacent cottage. This has a living room with open fireplace that leads into the kitchen area that has a 4 ring gas hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher . There are two spacious double bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms with hydromassage bathtubs with showers above the bath

Adjacent to the house is a BBQ and grill and a traditional wood oven for pizza and bread making and patios and covered loggias for al fresco dining. The private L shaped swimming pool is located just below the villa and is set in a private garden to the side of the villa with fabulous open views over the countryside.The grounds extend into the estate vineyards where it is possible to organise an accompanied walk around the property with the owner to explain the details of wine and olive oil production and tastings are available at the Fattoria just along the road .
