Villa Sogno is a rare find, country charm combined with contemporary taste and refined details. The villa dates back to the 17th century and was once a stopping place for pilgrims on their way to Rome. This beautiful stone farmhouse has been restored with great care and attention to detail by a young architect who spent his summers in this lovely area of Tuscany. He fell in love with the traditional houses of Tuscany and using his flair, he restored this fabulous farmhouse back to much more than its former glory.
Villa Sogno is located within easy reach of San Casciano dei Bagni (9km), which has a wonderful luxury spa,  and also Cetona (11km) with its pretty main piazza. The local village is just at 2.9km. It is a great location for exploring the wonderful picture postcards views of southern Tuscany. Other parts of Tuscany are an easy day trip away too as well as the many well known wine towns.

The interior design in Villa Sogno could be described as restrained good taste with quirky touches - lightly washed beams, light wooden flooring, pale shades of cream and beige, hints of coloured accessories, accent colours in some bedrooms and the glimpses of greenery from the garden and shrubbery all combine to create relaxing, comfortable interiors. Every corner of the house and garden is decorated with quirky, well-chosen pieces to enhance the stone building, the views and fit in with the surroundings.

GROUND FLOOR

Villa Sogno has an open plan ground floor that opens out onto the patio and garden and has light, bright airy living and dining spaces that are furnished with style and an eclectic mix of old and new. At the heart of every Tuscan house is a great kitchen and this villa has a wonderful, bright, well equipped kitchen that leads out onto a patio with ample outdoor dining space.

FIRST FLOOR

The villa has up to 9 bedrooms (7 x doubles and 2 x twins), sleeping up to 18 guests all with en suites bathrooms with the possibility of adding some extra beds for children in the group.  Each one is individually decorated and furnished. Each bedroom is a different colour and slightly different style, but all are very comfortable and stylish. Most bathrooms have a large walk in shower and one has a bathtub.

ANNEXE

There is an adjacent annexe next to the main villa. It has a lovely lounge area with large open fireplace and is where 2 of the 9 bedrooms are located. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom.

OUTDOORS

Villa Sogno has large private grounds with various shady spaces for relaxing, including a 4 poster bed with mosquito nets, perfect for an afternoon snooze! In front of the house, there is a covered, curtained pergola, which has a magical atmoshere when candlelit after dinner. Just above the house there is a large salt water pool (20 x 5mts) with pretty views, set in a lawn with a pergola.
There is also a front garden, which slopes down from the house into a large lawn area with mature trees that extends out into an olive grove.

EXTRA NOTES

The villa is staffed and includes a chef who is passionate about cooking with fresh local ingredients. The villa produces many of its own ingredients including  olive oil from the olive groves around the villa, fresh vegetables from the kitchen garden and their own jams etc.Tuscany is also well known for its wines - Chianti, Montalcino and Montepulciano and Bolgheri produce top quality fine wines.
