Villa Giglio is a superb. newly restored villa with all mod cons within easy reach of Florence. The villa, which sleeps 11 (9 in 5 bedrooms/5 bathrooms, plus adjacent cottage, which sleeps 2 in 1 bedroom/1 bathroom) is located in a tiny hamlet in the hills just outside of Florence. It is a perfect base for exploring the bustling city of Florence and yet is set in pretty countryside surrounded by fields and olive groves.
There is a local town at a 2 min drive, a bus stop into Florence within walking distance and Florence city centre is just a 10 min drive.

Villa Giglio is set in a large, fenced garden with a private pool and has an automatic entry gate with private parking. Villa Giglio is the perfect base for a large family or group of friends who want to be near Florence for sightseeing and yet have a quiet country location where they can relax at the end of the day.

SLEEPS 11

GROUND FLOOR

The entrance to Villa Giglio is through a glass door leads into an open plan hallway, which runs the width of the villa and leads to another glass door leading onto the garden. Off the entrance, which has high ceilings, there is the lounge, kitchen and dining room.

The modern well-equipped kitchen has white units, double sink, a 5 ring gas hob, large oven, large American style fridge freezer with ice maker, dishwasher. There is a table and chairs for 3 – 4 guests. Adjacent to the kitchen is a pretty, formal dining room with seating for 8 – 10 guests. The lounge is spacious and has a modern working fireplace, 2 x 3 seater sofas and 2 armchairs.

Off the lounge is a single bedroom with ample wardrobe space and a bathroom with shower.

An original stone staircase leads up to the first floor.

FIRST FLOOR

On the first floor there is a TV lounge with sofa. Also on this floor there a total of 3 bedrooms. There is a double room with air con, a dressing room and en suite bathroom with a bathtub and a shower over the bath.
There are 2 twin bedrooms (can be made doubles) with en suite bathrooms with showers. One room has air con, one (to the rear) doesn’t - due to restrictions for historic buildings.

TOWER ROOM

The tower room is a large, spacious, master bedroom with air con, which has large windows on all sides, giving a spectacular view over Florence and the Duomo as well as over the surrounding olive groves. This bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower.

BASEMENT

Accessed from outdoors has a sink plus washing machine and dryer and equipment for ironing.

COTTAGE

Adjacent to the main villa, there is a pretty  cottage, which is furnished in a similiar style to the main villa.

The cottage has glass doors to the front and rear. There is a lounge area with sofa and sat tv leading into a well-equipped kitchen with a double sink, 4 ring gas hob, oven, dishwasher, large fridge, table and chairs for 4, laundry room with a sink, washing machine, dryer and equipment for ironing.

A staircase leads to the first floor, where there is a double bedroom with bathroom with a large shower. There is also another single bed on the landing area.

GARDEN AND POOL

Villa Giglio has a large fenced garden with private parking. There is an outdoor dining area with table and chairs. The pool (6x12m) is a short distance from the villa and is fenced for safety. The pool area has loungers and a gazebo for relaxing in the shade. The villa has panoramic views over Florence city centre.
