Villa Cecilia is a beautiful villa located just outside of Siena that dates as far back as the 13th century. Originally a watchtower and adjoining accommodation for its guards, Villa Cecilia today has been restored to offer well-appointed holiday accommodation. It features many original and traditional features such as chestnut beams and terracotta floors and features charming arches on the ground floor framing the pretty reception rooms. It is in a perfect location for exploring central Chianti with it many wineries, castles and hilltop villages and also Siena with its medieval city centre and magnificent main piazza.
Due to its traditional stone construction and hilltop position, Villa Cecilia is cool even during the summer months. The spacious grassy lawns of the estate are perfect for families with children. The location is ideal for wine lovers because it is a great starting point for trips to Chianti Classico and the charming villages of Gaiole, Castellina and Brolio Castle, which are all within easy reach of the Villa.

This villa is made up of 2 buildings;
the main villa (3,500 sq ft) and a cottage (1,500 sq ft). The main
villa features a watch-tower to which two lateral structures were added
over time. This particular layout, with the cottage separate from the
main villa, makes Villa Cecilia an ideal property for large groups. The
villa is part of a 27 hectare estate, which produces its own wine (can
be ordered on request)
The villa has been furnished with great attention to detail and provides very comfortable holiday accommodation. It retains many of its original features - wooden beamed ceilings throughout, the stone walls and on the ground floor, arches frame the different areas of the spacious living room (more than 1,000 sq ft). The dining area has a large table, the sitting room comfortable sofas and the sunken reading corner has inviting leather armchairs.

The villa is set in a very large garden and has a patio with a large outdoor dining table, perfect for relaxing and informal dining. There is also a BBQ grill and outdoor cooking area to prepare delicious local food. The large private swimming pool is accessed via a footpath and there are sun beds around the pool to enjoy hours of sunbathing. The pool has a ladder for access and the villa is set in manicured gardens and provides complete privacy.
