Residenza d'Arte 
Residenza d’Arte has 9 beautiful rooms. The rooms are located around the original chapel. There is a courtyard to the side where breakfast is served “al fresco”. The 9 rooms have been created in a clever restoration of the property. There is a central reception and lounge which is a large “L”shaped room, with original stone walls, beamed ceilings and fabulous works of modern art throughout the room. In fact, the whole property contains innumerable pieces of original artwork almost all by Italian artist Anna Izzo who was commissioned to carry out the interior design of the property. Her works include paintings in oil, paintings on wood and many sculptures that appear around the property both inside the rooms and reception but many also decorate the outside walls of the building and are placed around the garden. The theme often changes and the artwork is regularly updated (yearly). These wonderful pieces of original art give the property a very strong identity and creates a very eclectic feel for your stay in Tuscany. It has been furnished with great style and each piece fits perfectly with the interior of each room. Each room has an en suite bathroom with shower.There is also a detached barn which has been restored to create a perfect honeymoon suite. It is called “The Loft”. It opens onto the garden area and being detached from the main building makes it more private than the others.
Residenza d’Arte is just minutes from the local town of Torrita di Siena, where there are shops, bars and restaurants.
It is a great base for exploring Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Val D’Orcia and the “Crete Senese” and of course the wonderful renaissance city of Siena.
 
Each room has it own independent entrance. They all have the use of the garden and breakfast is served in the courtyard to the side of the property . The garden has large cypress trees, which give good shade in hot weather. There are lovely views across to Torrita and in the distance Pienza can be seen on a distant hilltop. The whole property retains many of its original features such as beamed ceilings and stone walls but the originality of the interior décor creates a stylish mix of contemporary design and an old world charm. The extensive works of artist Anna Izzo decorate the walls and adorn the garden areas. Works are in a wide mixture of disciplines ranging from oil paintings on canvas and wood even onto antique canoes, to sculptures and furniture in metal.This is a very unusual property. Savour it as you drink in the scenery that is quintessential of this area of Tuscany.

Residenza d’Arte is a beautiful tiny hamlet built around a little chapel and dates back to the 14th century. It is located on a hill just outside Torrita di Siena so is within easy reach of the centre of this little town in the heart of the area south of Siena. It has views towards Pienza, which sits on a hilltop in the distance and is also within easy reach of Montalcino, famous for its wonderful Brunello wines produced by world renowned family vineyards that cover the hillside slopes around the town and which you can taste inside the medieval fortress on the top of the hill in Montalcino itself.
And if you are looking for a Honeymoon Suite then “The Loft” a detached barn restored in the same style is a perfect choice. It is decorated with great taste and has a lounge with open fireplace, a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. It opens onto the garden.
