Relais Villa Belpoggio
· Country location · Garden · Pool and sun terrace · Pretty views · Satellite TV · Minibar · Air conditioning in most rooms · 1 hour to Florence
Villa Belpoggio sits up on a hillside with commanding views over the Valdarno valley. Built in the 17th century by the Fiorilli family on the remains of a watch tower, it was used as a country residence by the aristocracy. It then became a monastery for many years until recently when the current owners took on the task of restoring the house to its former glory. The Villa and tiny chapel adjacent to the house are set in private gardens with a fountain to the front and open views over the valley below and hills beyond. To the rear there is a lawn, a large pool (10m x 4m) with hydromassage corner and terrace area for sunbathing. Villa Belpoggio is approx 15 mins to the nearest village, Castelfranco di Sopra and is within easy reach of both Florence (1 hour) and Arezzo (35 mins)
