Podere Montegonzi is a a lovely stone farmhouse on two floors, located in Chianti and set on its own. It is located just outside the local village of Montegonzi (200mts)and an easy walk on foot. From the house and garden there are lovely views to the Pratomagno hills across the valley and it is set in a large garden that extends into olive groves to the front. The house is a perfect property for either a small or large family group looking for a beautiful setting and within easy reach of the beautiful renaissance city of Florence (50 mins away). The house is a perfect base, for exploring Chianti and visiting Florence (50 mins) and Arezzo(40 mins) which are all within easy reach. Podere Montegonzi is in a country location and yet close to the local village of Montegonzi with a small local shop / bar / restaurant with pretty roof top terrace that has amazing views. The larger local town of Montevarchi has a very large Hypermarket.
Podere Montegonzi is a perfect property if you want a country location from which you can explore Chianti and is within easy reach of Florence.

Podere Montegonzi

Podere Montegonzi is a spacious house, which is perfect for a family group.
The farmhouse has been restored using traditional materials and there are terracotta floors and beamed ceilings throughout. It has been furnished using top quality fixtures and fittings and is very stylish.
On the first floor there is a spacious living room with open fireplace and satellite TV, an entrance hall and a bathroom with shower. Off the living room is a large, fully equipped kitchen with a large hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher. There is a landing with access to the staircase to the lower floor. Off the living room and hall are 2 bedrooms: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

On the lower floor (ground level) There is an additional sitting room with French doors to the large front terrace and there are a further 2 bedrooms; one double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. The twin room has a vaulted ceiling and French doors to the front terrace. The double bedroom has a large arched glass door, which also opens onto the front terrace. There is a laundry room to the side of the house with a washing machine and sink, ironing board and iron. It is accessed from the garden. There are pretty views from both the house and garden and especially the pool area. Views are across olive groves in front of the house to the valley below and across to the Pratomagno hills opposite. The pool area sits off to the left of the house and is at a slightly higher level providing stunning views over the valley.
