Il Faro is an apartment in the pretty coastal town of Castiglione della Pescaia. It is a modern apartment just one street away from the long sandy beaches that extend for miles right along the seafront. Originally a fishing village, it has an old town and fortress atop the hill overlooking the sea and stone houses line the labyrinth of alleyways. Today it is a pretty beach resort, popular in summer. It has kept much of its original charm and still has a fish market along the harbour where fresh fish can be bought daily. The beaches are beautiful golden sand and stretch for miles in both directions.
There is a living room with dining table and chairs, sofa bed and TV, a double bedroom, kitchen with 2 ring electric hob, oven and fridge. The bathroom has a shower and a washing machine. There is air conditioning and screens on the bedroom and bathroom windows.
The apartment is in quiet location to the rear of the main street. There are bars close by, just across the road. There is a fishing harbour and also a yachting marina and a long promenade right along the seafront that stretches into the distance. The centre of town is just around the corner, where there is a pedestrianised main street and if you go up hill from here you will come into the old part of town. The old part of town stretches uphill to the fortress and there are lovely views over the sea at the top of the hill. There are lots of enchanting alleyways to explore. The beach is literally across the road and the fine sandy beach extends along the coastline. There are numerous areas with umbrellas and loungers available for hire or there are also sections of free beach. There are many bars and eating places all along the beach, many of which are also open in the evenings.
