The house is a perfect base, for visiting Florence, Siena (30 mins) and the area north of Siena including Monteriggioni and San Gimignano, which are all within easy reach. Fienile Janus is a perfect location if you want a quiet, peaceful country location with a garden and pool that is within easy reach of local shops.

Fienile Janus This spacious barn is on two floors and has a light, airy feel to it. It has been restored with great attention to detail by the architect owner and has a minimalist touch to it, which suits this pretty barn. The furnishings are of a high standard and very contemporary and the kitchen is very well equipped. The property is set amongst vineyards, which extend well beyond the property and there are pretty views to the rolling countryside that surround the house.
Fienile Janus is located 5 mins from the local village of Mercatale where there are a number of shops including a supermarket, chemist, bars, banks, post office, and other local shops. There are also local buses into Florence city centre.

Ground Floor
The barn is located adjacent to the main farmhouse and sits to the left and overlooks the garden and pool. It is a spacious house for four and an extra bed can be supplied for a child. The ground floor has large glass doors that open onto the patio and garden. Entrance is into the kitchen to the right, which is very well equipped and has a large hob, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and large fridge. The kitchen leads into the long, spacious living area, which has an open fireplace and is equipped with satellite TV, DVD player, stereo. There are glass doors that lead onto the patio where there are outside tables and chairs for eating outside that looks onto the garden and towards the pool.

 

First Floor:
There is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom also with en suite bathroom with shower. There is also access to an outside staircase to the garden from the hall on the top floor.

The pool is located in front of both the farmhouse and barn and set in a lawn. There are sun loungers and chairs around the pool for sunbathing. The property and garden are set amongst vineyards.
