Dell'Ugolino Golf Course
Back to Golf in Tuscany <
This course is located in Chianti and was the very first golf course in Italy. It is an 18 hole par 72 course set in rolling landscape. It was originally designed by the English architects Blandford and Gannon and later enlarged by the engineer Piero Mancinelli. It is located along the Chiantigiana Road, a well known scenic route into Chianti, and numerous tournaments have been held here over the years which includes the International Open in 1983. The golf course makes the most of its natural characteristics making the first 9 holes quite challenging due to the differences in level. The remaining nine holes are on more even ground but are none the less quite demanding. A great days golfing is assured.
