The lovely apartment is located on the ground floor of the villa. It has a large terrace area to the front and side of the apartment with outside seating with the garden beyond planted with many aromatic herbs and lavender. There is a large kitchen / living room with sofa bed, 1 double bedroom with en suite shower room. It is a perfect retreat for Honeymoon couples or those looking for a country hideaway.
 The pool is located at a short distance from the house and sits just below it with open views over the countryside. Casa Cucule is a lovely stone farmhouse that nestles on a hillside just below the tiny village of St. Vincenti, which has beautiful views over the valley and across to the tiny hilltop village of Montebenichi The house originally a country farm, has been lovingly restored literally from ruins by its owners using traditional materials including chestnut beams and terracotta floors. The décor and furnishings reflect the country style of the house and includes many of the owners finds on trips to India and Africa, whilst having up to date modern appliances. The house has one 2 person apartment furnished with high quality fixtures and fittings. The large garden is a wonderful mix of lavender and herbs dotted with traditional irises and cypress trees line the drive. What better combination for eating “al fresco” than the scents of fresh herbs and scented flowers wafting gently on the breeze.
Casa Cucule is a perfect base, for exploring the local hilltop villages nearby or the wonderful renaissance cities of Siena (45 mins), and Arezzo (45 mins) both of which are within easy reach. It is also a great location of you enjoy walking and trekking there are many local country roads and tracks and marked walks to follow. 
Casa Cucule is in a fabulous country location a few kilometres from the picturesque, tiny, hilltop village of Montebenichi, a pretty village with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. Once a walled hilltop fortress, it still retains many of its original features. It has a central piazza with a village well and 2 castles. One is today a hotel and the other is said to have been the home of Captain Goro, a medieval mercenary soldier with his own small private army, in the days when the Florentines and Sienese both struggled to keep control of the many strategic hilltops around the region, fighting many a fierce battle to regain control of the area.
