Casa Bella sits on a small just 12km from Cortona. The house, once a country farm has been lovingly restored by its owners to create a well-run family Bed & Breakfast. It is minutes from the historic town of Cortona and within easy reach of Lake Trasimeno. The house has 3 first floor double bedrooms, all elegantly furnished with high quality fixtures and fittings.
Casa Bella is a perfect base if you want a country location with pretty views for exploring the wonderful hilltop town of Cortona (10 mins), or why not explore Lake Trasimeno close by (20 mins) with its tiny islands. Ferries leave regularly from different points around the lake. The renaissance city of Siena is also within easy reach (45km).

Casa Bella is in a country location minutes from the centre of Cortona, set in the rolling countryside. Part of a country farm dating back to the 18th century that produced olive oil and local red wine is today a pretty family run Bed & Breakfast.
The house sits on a hillside with pretty views across the valley to Cortona to the Northeast, Foiano della Chiana to the West and Monte Amiata to the Southwest.
Cortona, just 12 km away, is a pretty hilltop town as appears in Frances Mayes’ “Under a Tuscan Sun”. Wind through the tiny streets and alleyways that lead up the hillside with stunning views across the valley. You can see the waters of Lake Trasimeno glittering in the distance.

Casa Bella has a large garden and pool should you want to just drink up the views and relax by the poolside. In summer the owner can prepare a light lunch on request and dinner can also be prepared and served in the elegant dining room on the ground floor.

If you want to try your hand at making some of Tuscan dishes for yourself the owner can organise cookery lessons held at the property. All ingredients are supplied and the lessons include enjoying your creations for either lunch or dinner at the end. What a great way to truly savour Tuscany!

The Bedrooms

There are 3 double rooms at Casa Bella. One has a pretty balcony overlooking the garden and pool. All have en suite bathrooms and fans, two can be made into twin bedrooms on request.

Camera Rosa
Has a double bed that can be made into a twin and an en suite bathroom with shower. There are French doors leading onto the terrace overlooking the garden.

Camera Blu
This is a double bedroom and can be made into a twin. It has a spacious en suite bathroom with 2 sinks and a shower. Views from the window are overlooking the olive trees and countryside.

Camera Verde
This is a double bedroom (cannot be made a twin) and has an en suite bathroom with shower. Views from the window are overlooking the olive trees and countryside.

There is a small lounge on the first floor and a stair to the ground floor and entrance. On the ground floor there is a spacious lounge for guests to use with an open fireplace. There is also a pretty dining room where dinner can be served on request.
